I used to live up north where more often than not, in my childhood experience, the neighborhoods had perfectly trimmed lawns and houses that looked new. No personality, creativity, show of time passing, or signs of life in general, everyone kept their yards pristine. On the walk to and from school, here in North Carolina, I started to capture the evidence of time and the special changes that time itself creates. The south is home to me, and I documented it through structure and what I find unique.
